We, The Ashland, are here to change the every-day Chicago bar scene and add something totally different to the mix.  We are not talking about fancy martini's (we have those), or succulent infusions (we have those too), or great micro brews (we have over 50 of those) at fair prices (everything here's a fair price), or ice cold drafts (we have 15 of those), nor are we talking about the usual thumpy, too crowded, rude, and pretentious kind of Chicago bar. Nope...not at all.

What we are talking about is a phenomenally comfortable atmosphere that does not deal in snobbery but excells in tomfoolery and harmless sarcastic mental challenges.  The Ashland is a public house that is bringing conversation and fun back to the bar crowd instead of filling them with the latest trend or a sports channel blasted so damn loud you can't hear yourself think.  The Ashland is filled with clientele that we (the General Manager: Adam Schenck, the Asst. General Manager: Bryan Coratti, the bar manager: Chris Burkett) like, people we would hang out with in our free time (if we ever had free time anymore that is).

Not that drinkin' in the dark sucks or anything...but it makes it a lot easier for the janitorial staff when you can see what you are doin' in the can.
